Aida in Verona’s Roman Arena

It was hot and muggy and there was a crescent moon above us.  We bought cushions for our butts.  The sets were elaborate and beautiful.  The orchestra was amazing.  But OH MY GOODNESS opera can be sooooooooooo boring!!!!  FOUR hours later and we were done with the "cultural experience".  Ha!
